Application
IT UDW series packaged UV systems have a unique packaged design. It allows the units to be used for disinfection of pressurized flows in municipal wastewater and industrial "grey" water. Due to high efficient, long-life low-pressure UV lamps and effective ballasts UDW systems have low operating costs.
Advantages
-
UV units can be used in pressurized flows (up to 10 bar) of sewage water
-
Sophisticated automatic lamp and UV dose monitoring system
-
Versatile design capabilities to increase flow capacity
-
No depressurization of the UV system is required during lamp changing procedure
-
Simple installation, operation and maintenance

UV lamps
All UDW units are equipped with modern, industrially manufactured germicidal lamps that were developed by LIT engineers especially for water disinfection. Low depreciation of UV radiation intensity at the end of lamp life, less than 20%, guarantees effective disinfection throughout the operating period of UDW units. The UV spectrum of the lamps is optimal for germicidal effect. |

 |
Control system
PLC based Control System continuously monitors UV dose inside the UV reactor, the operating status of each UV lamp including elapsed operating time of the lamps. All operating data are displayed on the LCD panel. The plastic or stainless steel enclosure of Control system has IP65 protection class.
Cleaning system
UDW units can be equipped with an optional chemical cleaning system. The purpose of chemical cleaning systems is to remove inorganic and organic coatings from the surface of protective quartz sleeves. Chemical cleaning ensures a proper level of UV intensity inside the reactor and provides reliable disinfection throughout the operation lifetime of the UV system.
Installations
The UDW systems can be produced with different configurations of inlet/outlet flanges. It allows the UV system to be optimally configured according to customer specific requirements.
LIT Technology and/or its representatives provide technical consultations on installation, operation and service of UDW units.
