LIT UV has developed the products in the DUV series for potable water disinfection in industrial/commercial applications. The models in this series have a hygienic pressurized UV disinfection system design, with all components incorporated into a compact stainless steel reactor with a separate control cabinet. The LIT DUV series units apply mercury low-pressure germicidal lamps that produce short-wave radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm, which is lethal for bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in water.
· Fast and reliable disinfection in seconds
· UV lamp operating lifetime is more than 1.5 years
· Sophisticated automatic lamp and UV dose monitoring system
· Eye-catching compact design
· Hygienic, pressurized reactor design allows easy integration in existing piping
· Versatile design to increase flow capacity
· Low capital and operating costs
All DUV units are equipped with modern, industrially manufactured germicidal lamps with long operational life (up to 12,000 hours of continues operation). The low pressure mercury lamps are applied by LIT engineers specifically for water disinfection systems. LIT UV lamps have a high end of lamp life maintenance, hence the LIT UV lamps maintain an optimum electrical energy conversion to the germicidal UV-c energy over the operational life of the lamps.
DUV units ensure a high UV dose over a wide range of water transmission values. All LIT UV system designs and application designs assure that the minimum required UV dose for effective disinfection is maintained throughout the UV lamp's life. By default all LIT UV system designs are corrected for the possible fouling of the protective quartz sleeves.
A micro processor control system continuously monitors the UV intensity inside the UV reactor and monitors the status of each individual UV lamp, including elapsed operating time. All operating data are displayed on the LCD panel.
DUV units can be equipped with an optional chemical cleaning system. The purpose of chemical cleaning systems is to remove any inorganic and organic coating from the surface of the protective quartz sleeves. Chemical cleaning ensures the emitted UV intensity from the lamp is optimal delivered to the water inside the UV reactor.
The LIT UV systems in the DUV series have been design for easy integration in existing or new piping systems, using standard DIN flange connections. An optional stainless steel frame can be supplied on request for easy assembly and seamless installation of the DUV system’s components (UV reactor, Control Cabinet and chemical cleaning system).
LIT Technology and/or its representatives provide technical consultations on installation, operation and servicing of DUV units.
