Series description
The DUV series covers small- and mid-range UV units for drinking water applications with capacities from 1 to 100 m3/hr.
The design and technical parameters of DUV series units meet strict regulations for drinking water UV disinfection systems including DVGW (Germany), EPA, NSF (USA) and SANPIN (Russia). |

Application field data
LIT has developed the DUV series UV systems for industrial/commercial
applications in potable water disinfection. The models of this series have
packaged design with all components integrated in a compact stainless steel
housing with separate control cabinet. LIT DUV series units utilize mercury
low-pressure germicidal lamps that produce short-wave radiation at 254 nm
wavelength that kills bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in water.
Design and manufacturing process of DUV units comply with international
standards for UV disinfection of potable water such as German DVGW 294, EPA, NSF
and SANPIN.
Advantages

UV Dose
DUV units ensure a high UV dose for a wide range of water transmission
values. The minimal dose for effective disinfection is sustained throughout the
lamp's life including lamp aging and quarts sleeve fouling. |
 |
UV lamps
All DUV units are equipped with modern, industrially manufactured germicidal
lamps having long service life (up to 12 000 hours of continues operation ). The
lamps were developed by LIT engineers especially for water disinfection. Low
depreciation of UV radiation intensity at the end of lamp life, less than 20%,
guarantees effective disinfection throughout the operating period of DUV units.
The UV spectrum of the lamps is optimal for germicidal effect. |
 |
Control system
PLC based Control System continuously monitors UV dose inside the UV reactor,
the status of each UV lamp, including elapsed operating time. All operating data
are displayed on the LCD panel. The plastic or stainless steel enclosure of
Control System has IP65 protection class. |
 |
Cleaning system
DUV units can be equipped with optional chemical cleaning system. The purpose
of chemical cleaning systems is the removal of inorganic and organic coating
from the surface of protective quartz sleeves. Chemical cleaning ensures the
proper level of UV intensity inside the reactor and provides reliable
disinfection throughout the operation lifetime of the UV system.
Installations
By customer request an optional stainless steel frame can be supplied for
easy assembling and compact installation of DUV system components (UV reactor,
Control Cabinet, and Chemical cleaning)
LIT Technology and/or its representatives provide technical consultations on
installation, operation and service of DUV units.
